Laureate head right / CAESAR above, AVGVSTVS below, S P Q R around, round shield inscribed CL • V; two laurel branches (or trees) flanking. Cf. RIC I 52a (aureus); RSC 51; BMCRE 354-55 = BMCRR Rome 4446-7; cf. BN 1333-6 (Gaul mint). Near EF, toned, obverse off center. Rare. Recorded only as an aureus.
