Augustus. 27 BC-AD 14. AR Denarius (3.72 g, 7h). Spanish mint - Tarraco. Struck circa 19 BC. CAESAR AVGVSTVS, bare head right / SIGNIS to left, RECEPTIS to right, Mars, helmeted, naked except for chlamys behind, standing left, head right, holding aquila in right hand and signa cradled in left. RIC I 82a; RSC 259; BMCRE 414 = BMCRR Rome 4405; BN 1118-1119. Good VF, toned, banker’s mark on obverse, some areas of weak strike.
