CAESAR AVGVSTVS, bare head left / SIGNIS to left, RECEPTIS to right, Mars, helmeted, naked except for chlamys behind, standing left, head right, holding aquila in right hand and signa cradled in left. RIC I 82b; RSC 259 var. (head right); BMCRE 414 var. = BMCRR Rome 4405 var. (same); BN 1118-1119 var. (same). Good VF, lightly toned, banker’s marks on obverse and reverse. Rare variety with head left.
