CAESAR[I] AVGVSTO, laureate head right / MAR VLT across field, Temple of Mars Ultor: round-domed, hexastyle temple with acroteria set on podium of three steps; within, aquila between two signa. This small temple, dedicated to Mars the Avenger, was situated on the Capitol and was built to house the standards recovered by Augustus from Phraates IV of Parthia.
