CAESAR AVGVSTVS DIVI F PATER PATRIAE, laureate head right / C L CAESARES in exergue, AVGVSTI F COS DESIG PRIN[C IVV]ENT around, Gaius and Lucius Caesar, on left and right, standing facing, each togate and resting a hand on one of two shields set on ground between them; behind the shields, two crossed spears; above, on left, a lituus right, and on right, a simpulum left; X below them. RIC I 212; Lyon 86; RSC 43d; BMCRE 538; BN 1665-6. Good VF, even dark gray toning with golden hues around the devices, a little porous, a shallow edge test cut. Rare type with X.
