D N PLA VALENTINIANVS P F AVG, rosette-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right; “flame” on shoulder / VICTOR-IA AVGGG, Valentinian standing facing, holding long cross in right hand, Victory on globe in left, his right foot on head of human-headed serpent; R-V//COMOB. Depeyrot, Solidi group d, 28; Reinhart, Münzen 53 (same dies); MEC 1, -; RIC X 3727; Depeyrot 7; Hunter, Byzantine 2 (same dies). Good VF, minor area of flat strike on reverse. Very rare.
