An epi tou Chrysotriklinou was the official in charge of the Chrysotriklinos, the golden hall of the imperial palace of Constantinople. As its name implies, this hall was sumptuously decorated and served as the setting for ceremonial receptions. The exact functions of the epi tou Chrysotriklinou are unclear.
