ISLAMIC, Seljuks. Rum. 'Izz al-Din Kay Ka'us I. AH 608-616 / AD 1211-1220. AV Dinar (4.67 g, 6h). Siwas mint. Dated AH 615 (AD 1218/9). Kalima in four lines across field; six-rayed star in center; all within linear and pearl quadrate; name and title of Abbasid caliph al-Nasir al-Din allah in outer margins / Name and title of 'Izz al-Din Kay Ka'us I in four lines across field; all within linear and pearl quadrate; mint formula and AH date in outer margins. CMM -; Yapi Kredi 384; Kazan -; Album A1208. Good VF, wavy flan, a couple of light marks. Extremely rare, only the third known example of this date from this mint.
