Б • M • EKATEPИHA • II • IMП • ICAMOД • BCEPOC, C П Б in exergue, crowned bust right / MOHETA • P(OУ)БЛЬ • 17 62, crowned double-headed imperial eagle facing with wings displayed, holding scepter and orb; coat-of-arms of Moskva framed by Order of St. Andrei Первозванного (the First Called) on breast; above, imperial crown; н-к flanking tail. On edge: grained right. Bitkin 182; Severin 1899; Uzdenikov 931. NGC photo graded MS 63, a fine multi-colored example of the first rouble of Ekaterina II. Choice uncirculated and a very high relief portrait with excellent detail. Virtually mint state with just a hint of cabinet rub.
