(star) MOHETA ПOЛTИHA (star) 1820, crowned double-headed imperial eagle facing with wings displayed, holding scepter and orb; coat-of-arms of Moskva framed by Order of St. Andrei Первозванного (the First Called) on breast; above, imperial crown; п.д. flanking tail / ЧИCTAГO/CEPEБPA/2 ЗOЛOTH=/10½ ДOЛEЙ/——/C.П.Б. in six lines across field; imperial crown above; all within laurel and oak wreath. On edge: CEP • 83 1/3 ПPOБЫ 2 ЗOЛ • 41 7/25 ДOЛ. Bitkin 170; Severin 2794; Uzdenikov 1460. NGC photo graded MS 63, lightly toned with superb fields. A choice uncirculated example of the last, “wings up” type poltina of Aleksandr I.
