AЛEKCAHДPЪ III ИMПEPATOPЪ И CAMOДEPЖEЦЬ BCEPOCCIЙCKIЙ. (rosette), large head right / PУБЛЬ 1887 Г. in exergue, crowned double-headed imperial eagle facing with wings displayed, holding scepter and orb; coat-of-arms of Moskva framed by Order of St. Andrei Первозванного (the First Called) on breast; arms of Kazan, Kingdom of Poland, Crimea, and United Principal Russian Grand Duchies on right wing, Astrakhan, and Novosibirsk, Caucasus, and Grand Duchy of Finland on left; above, filleted imperial crown. On edge: ЧИCTAГO CEPEБPA 4 ЗOЛOTHИKA 21 ДOЛEЙ (A•Г). Bitkin 61; Severin 3976; Uzdenikov 2012. NGC photo graded MS 64. The larger head variety and a seldom available date, especially in this condition.
