Trajan Decius. AD 249-251. AR Antoninianus (22mm, 3.17 g). Rome mint, 1st officina. 2nd-4th emissions, AD 249-250. Radiate and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Dacia standing left, holding staff surmounted by ass’s head left. RIC IV 12b; RSC 16. Good VF, toned, obverse a little rough.

Overstruck on a denarius of Geta. On the reverse, with the aid of a magnifying glass, you can make out the letter “S” above Dacia’s head, “P” below the C and “TIMIVS” between the C and A. There is also a G to the left of Dacia’s feet.
