THRACE, Maroneia. Circa 495/90-449/8 BC. AR Didrachm (7.42 g, 6h). Forepart of horse left / Ethnic around quadripartite square; all within shallow incuse square. Schönert-Geiss 34 (V6/R6); SNG Copenhagen -; BMC 16 (same dies). VF, toned, light porosity, die shift on obverse, typical weak strike on reverse. A particularly well struck obverse for issue.
