KINGS of MACEDON. Philip II. 359-336 BC. AR Drachm (3.44 g, 1h). Pella mint. Lifetime issue, struck circa 359-355/4 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Youth, holding palm and raising hand, on horseback left; monogram and wreath below. Cf. Le Rider 62-70 (Tetradrachm); SNG ANS 345 var. (no wreath). VF, toned, minor granularity. Unpublished variety of a rare denomination, particularly in this condition.
