THESSALY, Olea. 5th-4th centuries BC. Æ 12mm (2.04 g, 12h). Menekrates, magistrate. Grain ear within partially opened husk; stem remaining / Ram standing right [on double groundline]; ME-[NEKR]-A around; all within circular incuse. Franke, Erste pp. 1-2 var. = Triton VIII, lot 285 var. (ethnic); Rogers -; SNG Copenhagen -; Gorny & Mosch 147, lot 1404 (same rev. die?). VF, dark brown patina. Extremely rare, the third coin of Olea in any metal.
