ATTICA, Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.84 g, 12h). New Style coinage. Hera-, Aristoph-, and Philo-, magistrates. Struck 136/5 BC. Helmeted head of Athena right / Owl standing right, head facing, on amphora; magistrates’ names in fields; to left, club, lion skin, and bow in bowcase; E on amphora, ΓΛ below; all within wreath. Thompson 335a (same obv. die). EF, lightly toned.
