IONIA, Magnesia ad Maeandrum. Circa 155-145 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.42 g, 11h). Stephanophoric type. Erasippos, son of Aristeos, “magistrate”. Diademed and draped bust of Artemis right, bow and quiver over shoulder / Apollo Delphios standing left, elbow resting on tall tripod behind, holding branch tied with fillet; EPAΣIΠΠOΣ APIΣTEOY to left, meander pattern below; all within laurel wreath. Jones obv. die 27; SNG Copenhagen -; SNG von Aulock 2042; SNG Berry 1067 (same obv. die). EF, toned, a few light marks under tone in field on obverse.
