SAMARIA. Circa 375-333 BC. AR Obol (0.63 g, 6h). Persian king walking left, holding two lions, one in each raised hand, by their hind legs / Two male figures walking left, carrying a pole on their shoulders from which hangs an upside-down dead animal bound by its legs; below, dog standing right, head left. Cf. Meshorer & Qedar 130 var. (dog left, head right). Near VF, toned, minor porosity. Rare. This variety apparently unpublished.
