BAKTRIA, Greco-Baktrian Kingdom. Agathokles. Circa 185-180 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.38 g, 12h). Commemorative issue struck for Demetrios I. ΔHMHTPIOY ANIKHTOY, diademed and draped bust of Demetrios I right, wearing elephant skin headdress / Herakles standing facing, crowning himself and holding club, lion's skin draped over arm; monogram in inner left field. Bopearachchi Série 17A; SNG ANS -; Triton II, lot 593 (same dies). Good VF, toned, some roughness, die break on reverse. Very rare.
