Octavian. 35/4 BC. AR Denarius (3.90 g, 11h). Spanish or northern Italian mint traveling with Octavian in Illyricum. Bare head right / Round shield with three concentric rows of studs and central boss. RIC I 543a; CRI 392; RSC 126. Good VF, toned, light porosity, a few minor scratches and contact marks, minor flan flaw on obverse. Artistic portrait. Struck on a broad flan.
