GREEK. Magna Graecia & Sicily. Apulian Red-Figure Skyphos. Second-half of 4th century BC. Depicting a seated woman holding a lekanis in extended hand on one side, other side depicting a male youth crowned with wreath, nude except for drapery over right shoulder and arm, standing and holding filleted thyrsos and scepter; palmette and vine leaf design below horizontal handles. Touches of white pigment. Height: 10.8cm. Good condition, surface crack, one handle broken and repaired, some earthen deposits.
