GREEK. Asia Minor. Lead Decorative Plaque Depicting Zeus and Ganymede. 2nd-1st centuries BC. Zeus in the form of an eagle, standing before a tree on a platform decorated with floral pattern; to right, Ganymede seated left, wearing Phrygian cap and drapery slung over his shoulder, extending cup to Zeus, who holds a handle with his left talon as he drinks from it; shepard’s staff(?) behind Ganymede. Dimensions: 5.7cm x 4.4cm. Choice condition.
