ROMAN. Imperial. Pottery Anthropomorphic Aryballos (Thrace). Circa 3rd-4th centuries AD. Wheel-made aryballos with applied decoration of face design sporting goatee, “coffeebean” eyes, ears, long “Roman” nose and sharp eyebrows. Buff-colored clay, string-cut base, strap handle. Height: 6cm. Choice condition, encrusted.
