Augustus. 27 BC-AD 14. AR Denarius (18mm, 3.74 g). Spanish mint - Tarraco. Struck circa 19 BC. Bare head left / [IO]VIS TON, Jupiter standing left within hexastyle temple, holding thunderbolt and scepter. RIC I 64 var. (IOV-TON); BMCRE 363 note var. (same); RSC 180a. Near VF, toned, tight flan, banker’s mark on cheek, pierced behind head. Rare with IOVIS.
