Augustus. 27 BC-AD 14. Fourrée Denarius (20mm, 2.86 g). Imitating Lugdunum (Lyon) mint issue of 11-10 BC. Bare head right / Apollo Citharoedus of Actium standing facing, head left, holding lyre and plectrum. Cf. RIC I 180; cf. BMCRE 478; cf. RSC 165. Near VF, toned, some green encrustations, a few breaks in the silver plating.
