SICILY, Gela. Circa 420-415 BC. AR Didrachm (8.46 g, 8h). Horseman riding right, preparing to cast javelin / Forepart of man-headed bull left within circular incuse. Jenkins, Gela, group VIII, 479 (O93/R189); SNG ANS -; McClean 2266; Jameson 588; Pozzi 442-3 (all from the same dies). Good VF, lightly toned, overstruck on uncertain type. Rare.
