SICILY, Syracuse. Second Democracy. 466-405 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.19 g, 10h). Struck circa 415-405 BC. Charioteer driving fast quadriga left; above, Nike flying right, crowning charioteer; shell in exergue / Head of Arethusa left, hair in band; four dolphins around. Tudeer 11 (V5/R8); SNG ANS -; J. Hirsch 32, 304 (same dies). Good VF, light golden hues around the devices, slight porosity. An elegant portrait of great charm. Very rare.
