ISLANDS off CARIA, Rhodos. Rhodes. Early 1st century AD. Æ Drachm (20.23 g, 12h). Sphairos, magistrate. Radiate head of Helios facing slightly right / Rose seen from above; SFAIROS below; all within wreath. Ashton, Early 105-6 (same obv. die); SNG Copenhagen 870 (same obv. die); BMC 345 (same obv. die). Good VF, dark green patina, light earthen deposits. Exceptional for this rare late issue.
