SELEUKID KINGS of SYRIA. Philip I Philadelphos. Circa 95/4-76/5 BC. AR Tetradrachm (14.98 g, 1h). Uncertain mint 129 in Northern Syria(?). Diademed head right / Zeus Nikephoros seated left; [monograms to outer left], monogram below throne, Δ in exergue; all within wreath. Cf. SC 2466-7. Good VF, minor porosity on obverse. Very rare.
Although the outer left monograms are off the flan, the dies for this coin were certainly engraved by the same hands that engraved the coins previously attributed to this mint. SC only records three coins total for this mint during Philip’s reign.
