INDIA, Kushan Empire. Kanishka I. Circa AD 127/8-152. Æ Tetradrachm (15.66 g, 12h). Kanishka standing facing, head left, holding standard and goad; [altar to left] / Standing Śākyamuni Buddha: Buddha standing facing, hand raised in gesture of abhayamudrā; tamgha to inner left. Cribb, Buddha 37 (dies c/14); MK 785. Near VF, brown patina with green overtones. Rare.
