Anonymous. Circa 225-217 BC. Æ Aes Grave As (285.71 g, 12h). Libral standard. Rome mint. Laureate head of bearded Janus on a raised disk / Prow of galley left; I (mark of value) above; all on a raised disk. Crawford 36/1; Thurlow & Vecchi 57 (80 specimens recorded); Haeberlin pl. 19-20. Good VF, dark brown and green patina, areas of red-brown, minor smoothing on reverse. Very rare with prow left.
