Anonymous. 179-170 BC. Æ As (40.38 g, 3h). Sextantal standard. Rome mint. Laureate head of bearded Janus; I (mark of value) above / Prow of galley right; fly and I (mark of value) above. Crawford 159/3 var. (mark of value to right, citing only 3 specimens in Paris); Sydenham 324 var. (same). VF, dark green and brown patina, minor roughness and smoothing, a couple of scrapes. Very rare, but this variety with fly and I above prow is extremely rare.
