Laureate head of bearded Janus; I (mark of value) above / Prow of galley right, female head (Venus?) decorating acroterium (prow-stem); to right, Cupid standing left, crowning head of Venus with wreath. Crawford 313/2 (citing 6 specimens in Paris); Sydenham 575. Good VF, dark brown and green patina, a few trivial flan flaws. Rare.
