Octavian. Summer 37 BC. AR Denarius (3.64 g, 3h). Southern or central Italian mint. Bare head right, wearing slight beard / Augural and pontifical emblems: simpulum, aspergillum, jug, and lituus. Crawford 538/1; CRI 312; Sydenham 1334; RSC 91 (Augustus). VF, darkly toned, cleaning scratches beneath tone, traces of deposits.
