Æ and FE Door and Casket Keys. 13th-14th centuries. FE casket key with annular bow and bit mounted centrally onto the end of the shank. Length: 7.6cm // Same. Length: 7.7cm // 14th-15th centuries. Æ door key with lozenge bow. Length: 8.5cm // 15th century. FE door key with original bow broken off, repaired in Middle Ages with coiled bronze wire. Length: 9.0cm. Good condition. Interesting mix of types. Four (4) keys in lot.
