MACEDON (Roman Protectorate), Republican period. First Meris. Circa 167-149 BC. Local imitation. AR Tetradrachm (30mm, 16.24 g, 11h). Diademed head of Artemis right, with quiver over shoulder, in the center of a Macedonian shield; shield decorated with seven eight-pointed stars within double crescents / Club of Herakles within oak wreath; monograms around, thunderbolt to left. Cf. SNG Copenhagen 1314-5. VF, good metal.
