The nymph Messana, holding reins in both hands, driving slow biga of mules left; MEΣΣAN-A above; in exergue, two dolphins confronted / Hare springing right; below, dolphin right; MEΣ-Σ-AN-IO-N around. Caltabiano 514 (D205'/R213); SNG ANS 366 (same dies); SNG Lloyd 1098 var. (fly); SNG Fitzwilliam 1076 (same dies). EF, lustrous, light golden hues around the devices, some striking weakness and minor flan flaws.
