KINGS of THRACE. Lysimachos. 305-281 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.00 g, 11h). Ainos mint(?). Struck circa 281-250 BC. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΛYΣIMAXOY, Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, spear behind; monogram to inner left. Cf. Hirsch 931 (same obv. die, different control marks), otherwise unpublished. Superb EF, lustrous. Sharp strike.
Although this particular issue is unpublished, and the Hirsch specimen is not attributed to a mint, see Meydancikkale 2691 for an issue of Ainos with a strikingly similar obverse style.
