Augustus. 27 BC-AD 14. AR Denarius (3.90 g, 6h). Spanish mint (Emerita?). Struck 19-18 BC. CAESAR AVGVSTVS, bare head right / Round shield inscribed S • P • Q • R/CL • V in two lines. RIC I 42a; RSC 294; BMCRE 333-4 = BMCRR Gaul 128-9; BN 1311-5. Good VF, toned, light scratch in field above shield. A well centered obverse with a bold portrait and complete legend.
