IMP CAES NERVAE TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS VI P P, laureate and draped bust right / S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCIPI, VIA TRAIANA/S • C in two lines in exergue, woman (Via Traiana) reclining left, head right, resting elbow on rock, holding wheel balanced on knee with right hand, cradling branch in left arm. RIC II 637; Strack 426; Banti 352; BMCRE 988; BN 710. Good VF, brown patina, minor smoothing, a scratch below point of bust to edge.
