A K ΔЄK KAIΛ BAΛBINOC ЄVC, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Nilus, wearing grain ear wreath, reclining left, holding cornucopia set on raised right knee, cradling grain ear with long stem in left arm; grain ear curls up overhead the whole; LA (date) to left. Köln 2612; Dattari 4686 var. (obv. legend); cf. Milne 3317 (Gordian III as Caesar); BMC 1846 = Emmett 3377 var. (Nilus reclining on hippopotamus). Good VF, brown patina. Rare.
