INDIA, Local Issues. 19th-early 20th centuries. Three AV Ducats. Imitating Venice. Uncertain mint. Struck in the name of Alvise Mocenigo IV (1763-1778), or Ludovico Manín (1789-1797). All coins: St. Mark standing right, holding Gospels and presenting flag to Doge kneeling left / Christ standing facing, raising hand in benediction and holding Gospels, surrounded by elliptical halo containing stars. Lot includes the following: (2.71 g). Struck 19th-early 20th centuries. S/M/(horizontal K) /Z/I/H D LUCYOEELZ (partially retrograde), highly stylized St. Mark and Doge supporting pole topped by star / PCIDyOFFP PCIDyOFFP (partially retrograde), stylized Christ with hands raised before, all in closed elliptical halo with ten stars around. // (2.40 g). Same as previous / Stylized Christ in mandorla, legends effaced and replaced with wreath or floral sprays. // (2.40 g).
