Struck 1499-1502. hЄnRIC x DI' x GRΛ' x RЄX x ΛnGLIЄ' x Z x FRΛ', Archangel Michael slaying the Dragon; cross-crosslet at end of spear, no mintmark / PЄR x CRVC' x TVA' x SALV’ x nOS x XPC' x RЄD', ship bearing shield and cross, h and rose flanking cross. P&W type IIIB; cf. SCBI 23 (Ashmolean), 31; cf. Schneider 527; North 1696; SCBC 2183. Good VF. Very rare variety without mintmark on obverse.


Among the standard references, only North lists a variety with the anchor only on the reverse, rather than on both sides.
