SICILY, Syracuse. Deinomenid Tyranny. 485-466 BC. AR Tetradrachm (24mm, 17.05 g, 7h). Struck circa 480-475 BC. Charioteer driving slow quadriga right, holding kentron and reins; above, Nike flying right, crowning horses / Head of Arethusa right, wearing thick hairband and pearl diadem, surrounded by four dolphins swimming clockwise. Boehringer 209 (V93/R144); SNG ANS 69 (same dies). VF, light porosity. Rare die combination, only two cited by Boehringer.
