Commodus. AD 177-192. AR Denarius (19mm, 3.29 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck AD 178. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / TR P III IM II COS P P, Salus seated left, feeding serpent rising from altar to left. Cf. RIC III 649 (rev. legend; [Aurelius]); cf. RSC 762 (same). VF, lightly toned. Interesting spelling error on reverse.
