[C]VNOB, horseman advancing right, holding sword and shield / TASCIIOVANTIS, warrior standing facing, head left, holding spear and shield. Van Arsdell 2093; SCBC 338; Mack 244. Near VF, dark brown patina, some roughness.

Coins of Cunobelin name him as the son of Tasciovanus, ruler of the Catuvellani. This type was struck during a period of rapid expansion which ultimately led to Claudius’ desicion to invade Britain.
