The Secular Games were held in honor of the 1000th anniversary of the foundation of Rome; the included some of the greatest spectacles seen in Rome for generations. They were also commemorated by an extensive series of coins showing the animals that were displayed in the arena, monuments and the founding Twins, Romulus and Remus.
