After successfully resisting the attacks of Lysimachos in 302 BC, Klazomenai remained under the control of Demetrios I Poliorketes following his defeat at Ipsos. In 294, however, it finally fell to the Thracian king, and struck a few small issues of Lysimachos type coinage.
