KINGS of THRACE. Lysimachos. 305-281 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.09 g, 11h). Kios mint. Struck circa 288-281 BC. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, spear behind; monogram to inner left; below throne, club right; in exergue, grain ear left. Thompson 180. Good VF.

As with Herakleia Pontica, Kios was added to the kingdom of Lysimachos with the annexation of Bithynia in 289 BC. Though Herakleia was responsible for both staters and tetradrachms, Kios produced only tetradrachms, but in greater quantity than Herakleia.
