PHOENICIA, Tyre. 126/5 BC-AD 65/6. AR Shekel (14.05 g, 12h). Uncertain date. Laureate bust of Melkart right / Eagle standing left on prow; palm frond behind; to left, date (obscured) above club; Δ to right, Phoenician A between legs. Good VF, toned, hairline flan crack, double struck on reverse.

Although the date is obscured by the double strike, the style and control marks are common to the civic years of the late 30s-early 50s (circa 90-75 BC).
